About ME

I have worked for 27 years as an educator with Wilson County Schools.  I received my BS, MEd, and Library Science endorsement from MTSU.

My husband and I have 2 children.

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and supporting my children in their activities.

About Me:

I have worked as a classroom teacher for 20 years.  I recently received my Library Science endorsement from UTK and will be graduating soon with my master’s in Information Science.

My husband and I have a son who is currently in middle school.

During my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my family and friends and supporting my son in his activities.

I look forward to working with the students and faculty at Green Hill High School.

Library Hours

The GHHS library is open Monday-Friday 8:15 am-3:45 pm.

Library Objectives

  • Create a positive environment where all students feel welcome.
  • Maintain a collection that supports the curriculum and meets students' needs.
  • Promote literacy by providing patrons with a variety of genres for required and recreational reading.
  • Equip students with the knowledge and resources to support informational literacy and their endeavors as lifelong learners.
  • Assist students and faculty in using technology.

Library Policies

  • Students should enter quietly and be respectful of other Library Media Center users.
  • Food and drink are allowed (within reason).
  • Students are allowed to check out 5 books at a time for 2 weeks.
  • Return your books to the book returns located by the library's front doors.
  • How to access Green Hill High School’s card catalog and put books on hold:
    • Log in to ClassLink
    • Click on the Destiny Discover icon.
    • From here, you can search the entire catalog of books that are available at Green Hill High School.
    • If you want to place a book on hold, you need to log in using your Wilson County Schools username and password.
    • Once you place a book(s) on hold, we will pull the books, and you will be able to pick them up at your designated time.

      Texbook Information

      • Textbooks are assigned in August and due in May.

      • If the student's textbook is not returned by the due date, an obligation is placed in Skyward, and the student will not be able to access their account until the book is returned or paid for.
      • Classroom teachers decide if textbooks are checked out to individual students.
      • Students are advised not to leave textbooks in teachers' classrooms. If they choose to do so, they will still be held responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of the book.
      • If the textbook needs to be paid for, please make the check payable to Green Hill High School and bring the payment to the bookkeeper in the front office.

Reconsideration of Library Materials 

If you have concerns about a library book's appropriateness, please get in touch with the librarians. If you wish to make a formal request to have materials removed from the library, please contact the school administration.
